OmniSync Retail · Feature
Know what goes out of date before it does.
Record the batch and expiry date when a delivery comes in. OmniSync Retail sells the oldest batch first, lists what's close to its date, and writes off what's past it, so waste shows up as a number instead of a surprise in the bin.
How it works
- Turn it on per item
Milk, meat, bread and chilled food get expiry tracking. Tins and household goods don't need it, so they don't ask.
- Dates at delivery
When you scan a delivery in, tracked items ask for a batch number and expiry date. The delivery can't be saved with a tracked item missing its date, so nothing slips through.
- Oldest sells first
Each sale takes stock from the batch that expires first. Your stock records match what should be leaving the shelf.
- The expiry list
One list of every batch that's past its date or close to it, soonest first, with how many are left. Choose how far ahead to look. The stock page shows how many batches are due in the next 7 days.
- Write off in one step
Out of date stock comes off with a reason ("out of date"), so waste is recorded at cost and you can see what it's costing you.
- Full history
Every item's history shows which batches came in, what was sold and what was written off.

Can I mark down short-dated stock?
Use the expiry list to find it, then change the price at the till with F6. You can require a manager PIN for price changes.
